No freeway riding. Route starts in the southern part of Phoenix and quickly leaves the urban environment on small roads. Outside the cities, most roads are either low traffic or have a shoulder. Ride ends in the northeastern part of Tucson.
Elevation: The ride is pancake flat to very slightly rolling. Elevation gain is 1,350 feet.
